01What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember information between visits — for example, that you've already dismissed the cookie banner, or that you're in the middle of filling out a form.
Similar technologies include local storage (which stores data in your browser without an expiration date), session storage (which clears when you close the tab), and pixel tags (tiny invisible images that report back that a page was loaded). We use the first two, and none of the third.

Verdant Edge does not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioral tracking of any kind. If you see an ad for us on another platform, that platform is tracking you — not us.

04Third-party cookies

We deliberately chose privacy-respecting providers. Google Fonts is used for typography only — we don't load Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or any Google advertising products. Plausible replaces traditional analytics providers (Google Analytics, Fathom, etc.) specifically because it does not track individual users.
05Managing cookies
You have several ways to control cookies on our site:
1. Cookie banner
When you first visit the site, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen with two options:
- Accept all — enables both essential and analytics cookies
- Essentials only — disables analytics; only cookies necessary for the site to work will be set
Your choice is stored for 12 months and can be changed at any time by clicking this link or clearing your browser's cookies.
2. Browser settings
Every major browser allows you to view, block, and delete cookies. See the "Browser controls" section below for direct links to instructions for your browser.
3. Opt out of analytics
If you want to disable our privacy-focused analytics without affecting essential cookies, you can use Plausible's opt-out mechanism. Contact us and we'll provide the direct opt-out link for your browser.
06Consent & withdrawal
For visitors from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions requiring explicit consent, we set analytics cookies only after you click "Accept all" in the banner. Essential cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interest (they're required for the site to work at all).
You may withdraw consent to analytics cookies at any time by:

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

08Changes to this policy
We will update this Cookie Policy whenever we add, remove, or change the cookies used on our site. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
If we introduce a new category of cookies — for example, if we ever added marketing cookies, which we have no plans to do — we would notify visitors via an in-site notice and require fresh consent under the same banner mechanism described above.
